Episode 491: Should I Stay Or Should I Go?

101.7MB

Martin Darlington and Dave Neal eventually get to talking about motorbike racing after a bit of an off-topic start to the show. We had another dramatic weekend in Austin where the unsurprising happened as Marc Marquez cleared off at the front, but behind a number of interesting things happened behind. The smallest man in the premier class came out of the weekend standing tall above everyone else. Unfortunately it came at the cost of the MotoGP’s unluckiest man, Andrea Dovizioso. BSB was also back on track for the first race of the season with a number of curious results but there’s still a long way to go, and the showdown system which always drag the season out just a little more.

Harry Lloyd and Martin Darlington are back for a big one. Three races in Argentina and the WSBK round in Aragon has us almost struggle to fit it all in. Argentina once again produced some interesting results after another weather and tyres weaved a bit of chaos into Sunday. It caused some new stars to light up while others maybe shined a little too bright. Of course we also continue to look ahead to 2017 because silly season is really what it’s all about, right? While chaos ruled in South America, WSBK had a distinctly familiar feel to it. Racing is now well and truly back as as MotoAmerica and BSB are just about to starting spinning wheels in anger.

Harry Lloyd sits down to talk about the Sepang test and some news odds and ends. Jorge Lorenzo looks to be the many to beat again in 2015 but it’s early days and Phillip Island should give us a better idea of who is where. A certain Australian may have impressed in Sepang, but he won’t be back on track at his home circuit. There may only be one regular host this week, but the final few Phil Hall interviews from the PI Classic are some of the best. Not long now…
